Hi, I’m Sydney.
I started out as a teacher— writing lesson plans, grading papers, and keeping a dozen teenagers organized and engaged at once. I loved the planning, organization, and problem-solving that came with teaching, but not the classroom itself. Eventually, Ask Georgia was born.

Now, I help small business owners get their ducks in a row with bookkeeping, tech support, account management, and more— all so they can focus on the parts of their business that inspire them most. Ask Georgia delivers boutique, hands-on business support tailored to each client.

Who is Georgia?

We admit it: Georgia is a dog. But she’s also the heart of our office. If she had a career, we joke it would be in accounting, bookkeeping, or something similarly bland— because nothing says “responsible” like her loveably stoic face.

While we don’t find bookkeeping bland at all, the name Ask Georgia simply honors the dog who changed our lives and keeps us laughing every day. She is the very silent partner we all wish we had.

No, Ask Georgia is not an accounting firm— I am not a licensed accountant or CPA. My focus is on helping small business owners organize their books, maintain accurate financial records, and streamline processes so they can make informed decisions. For tasks that legally require a CPA— like tax filing or official audits— I recommend working with a licensed professional. Think of me as your behind-the-scenes bookkeeping and business support partner.

My small business bookkeeping service is designed to give you clarity and control over your finances without the headache. This typically includes:

Recording and coding (categorizing) income and expenses
Reconciling bank and credit card statements
Maintaining accurate and organized financial records
Generating custom reports to help you understand your business performance

I don’t file taxes or provide legal tax advice, but I ensure your records are organized and ready for your accountant or CPA. My goal is to make your finances clear, actionable, and stress-free.

Yes and no. As a small-business bookkeeper, my goal is to give you insight into your finances without adding more to your plate. Some clients provide written daily or weekly logs and photos of receipts, while others share monthly bank statements. Together, we’ll create a system that works best for your business, with a level of privacy you’re comfortable with.

My role is to organize, categorize, and reconcile financial records so you have clear, actionable information. I do not require access to your online banking portals, and all information is handled securely and confidentially.

Unlimited edits prior publication allow us to perfectly capture your business's unique style.
